Winner: Leafwell
Ease of Use
Both Leafwell and Veriheal have straightforward booking processes. I was impressed by both sites because they make the process seamless. This is especially helpful if you aren’t computer-savvy.
I also liked that both services offered extensive customer support. This is unmatched by other services in this space.
The one thing that stood out to me is that Leafwell is much more upfront about costs. On Veriheal’s website, you need to really dig to find up-to-date information about the cost of not only MMJ cards, but also their cannabis consulting/coaching sessions.
Leafwell is very upfront about the prices of certain services. I know I appreciate the transparency.
Winner: Leafwell
Availability
If you’re looking for a service that operates in many states across the USA, both Leafwell and Veriheal are good solutions. Above all, Veriheal tends to have a wider reach, but your eligibility for an MMJ card will depend on your qualifications.
Winner: Veriheal
Consultation Process
Both companies provide straightforward consultation processes. But Leafwell really steps up its game by delivering exactly what it promises on its site. What you see is what you get, and they’re pretty darn good at making sure of that.
As noted in my Leafwell review, it took me 5 days to get approved and fully registered with my state for medical cannabis.
Although I don’t have personal experience with Veriheal, I can talk about the reviews I’ve seen on Google, Better Business Bureau, and Reddit. Some are positive, but I’ve counted numerous complaints about their service, which leads me to believe that my experience with Leafwell was something Veriheal can’t quite live up to.
Here are some of those Veriheal reviews below:
I also heavily researched Leafwell’s processes before actually paying them myself, and I couldn’t find anyone complaining about the way they do business. I took the risk and applied for my medical marijuana card with Leafwell, and it was the easiest thing I’ve ever done.
Winner: Leafwell
Approval Time
As you can see in several complaint reviews above, the processing time for Veriheal is a bit hazy. While their website promises delivery within a specific timeframe, they often do not deliver on this.
While working with Leafwell ourselves, we were floored at how quickly we could set up an appointment, speak to a doctor, and get our medical cards.
Winner: Leafwell
Customer Support
Speaking from personal experience, Leafwell’s customer support team was very responsive. They were available to guide me through the process, which I found a bit intimidating initially. However, everything was a breeze after understanding the steps and initially signing up with Leafwell. Anytime I needed to speak to customer service, they were there to help.
On the flip side, according to Veriheal’s website, they offer 24/7 customer support. They seem to respond to patients, even those who are leaving reviews to complain about their service.

Additional Services
One of the things I loved about Leafwell was its extensive education section. You can find this on their website, and they have many helpful guides for those looking to understand the capabilities of marijuana for medical use.
On Veriheal’s website, you can find a section similar to this, full of information to guide you on your cannabis journey.
Both of these services offer these resources for free.
You’ll also find that both Leafwell and Veriheal offer cannabis consultation or coaching services for those looking for one-on-one guidance. This comes at an additional cost, but I was surprised and impressed that both companies offer this service.

Reviews and Testimonials
As I mentioned above in the ‘Consultation Process’ section, I spent a lot of time digging through positive and negative reviews for both companies. I have personal experience with Leafwell and I was very happy with the process, therefore I can only leave positive reviews about it.
But just because I had a positive experience doesn’t mean others have, and that’s what I wanted to search for while conducting my research. Do most people have positive reviews about Leafwell?
After investigating this thoroughly, it’s obvious that Leafwell has a very good reputation. It was difficult for me to find any complaints about their service. I looked in places like Reddit and Better Business Bureau.
The interesting part about online reviews is that the majority of people who actually take the time to do this either have a very positive experience or a very negative experience with a specific company. I was surprised and happy to see that complaints about Leafwell were very few and far between.
On the other hand, it was very easy to find complaints about Veriheal, a service I’ve admittedly not tried myself. From one simple search, I could see that customers were unhappy with their consultation process, approval time, and renewal process, among other instances.
I also searched for positive reviews about Veriheal because, again, most people who leave reviews do so out of anger. I did find many positive reviews about Veriheal, too, but the number of negative reviews spoke volumes when comparing it to Leafwell.
Winner: Leafwell
Privacy and Security
Leafwell and Veriheal must abide by HIPAA and other privacy laws when conducting business inside the United States. You will be working directly with a licensed doctor, so you can rest assured your information is stored safely with each company.

Renewal Process
One of the biggest complaints we’ve read regarding Veriheal is their renewal process. Not only is it confusing, but there have also been instances where customers didn’t receive timely notifications, leading to lapses in their certifications. This can be more than just a minor inconvenience, especially for those relying on their services for medical reasons.
We haven’t heard of the same issues with Leafwell, which is why they are the clear winner for this category.
Winner: Leafwell
A Final Toke
Choosing the right telehealth provider for your medical marijuana needs isn’t just about picking a name out of a hat. It’s about reliability, transparency, and the quality of service.
Leafwell has demonstrated its commitment to providing an efficient, user-friendly experience, and it stands out for its quick approval times, clear communication, and solid customer support. While Veriheal has its strengths and has successfully served many, the concerns over its renewal process and customer feedback suggest room for improvement.
Ultimately, your choice should align with your need for a seamless, stress-free process, and based on our deep dive, Leafwell seems to deliver just that.
